Deciding to bring a new puppy into your home is exciting. What you have to remember is that this can be up to a 15 year commitment. You want your new puppy to grow up to be a well-rounded, socially adept member of your family who is easy to care for. This means putting in the work at the beginning when the puppy first arrives.

Socialisation is really important for your puppy as it helps them to become a happy, friendly and confident adult. During your puppies’ ‘socialisation period’ in their first few months of life, it really important that they have lots of positive new experiences to help them understand what to expect, and how to react, in a variety of situations later on in life.
