Familiarisation and Overnight Stay Booking process

Call to discuss your requirements and anticipated dates with Victoria, who will explain our familiarisation process and arrange a visit you and your dog.

This first stage is free and involves a brief assessment in a controlled and secure environment this general familiarisation gives you the opportunity to meet us and see the facilities for your dog. It gives us the opportunity to introduce your dog to our dogs to see how they behave together.

The second stage of the familiarisation is chargeable and comprises a trial overnight stay (24hr period), arrangements and a suitable date for this will be made during the initial familiarisation meeting. Any ‘Pencilled in’ stay dates will be confirmed post assessment. After completing both stages we will understand how suited to this home dog boarding environment your dog is. In our experience, this helps to reduce stress and anxiety when dogs come into this environment for the first time. Giving you peace of mind while away for longer periods.

If you are happy and Victoria is confident your dog is likely to fit in with the other dogs, an overnight trial will be arranged. Once the trial is completed, and based on the outcome, any provisional bookings can then be confirmed.

Is there a minimum age for Boarding Dogs?

Yes, dogs must be a minimum of 6 months old at time of their stay.

Do you take entire (un-neutered) males?

Unfortunately not, as a condition of our Local Authority license we will only be able to provide home dog boarding for neutered male dogs. Bitches in season cannot be accommodated in the home environment with multiple dogs. We can however provide a pet care service in your own home.

Are you Licensed and Insured?

We are Licensed by the Local Authority and fully insured for all of the services we provide.

Can you accept dogs at short notice?

As part of our licence terms, and because the dogs are sharing our home with dogs from other households, we need to undergo a two stage familiarisation first. This gives us the opportunity to assess suitability of dogs for the home boarding environment. Once this is complete then providing we have capacity, bookings can be made at short notice.
